As LIF Light Guide prevents the outlook, the facade element should be installed optimally in the upper part of the window. Via the reflective ceiling the work area is supplied with glare-free, diffuse light.

In combination with the other facade components LIF can develop its best performance. The lower part of the window can then be fitted with standard sun protection systems (e.g. Venetian blinds) without interrupting or disturbing the natural illumination by LIF.

An additional application of LIF Light Guide is the illumination of a transparent light ceiling with diffuse daylight.

The ceiling illuminated by nearly constant steradian reflects uniformly diffuse light onto the light ceiling. From there the light spreads over the work area. The natural ups and downs of the daylight can be compensated by dimming artificial lights.

LIF can also be installed overhead. At an inclination of about 30 degree to the horizontal plane the diffuse light radiates vertically down.
