The light guiding elements function like light wave conductors (in according to
optical rules).
In the vertically stacked, transparent profiles the daylight is redirected by
total reflection to the ceiling (Fig. 1), transformed by a special functional
stripe (Fig. 2) in gentle diffuse light and deflected by an integrated corrugated
edge (Fig. 3) towards the centre of the room.
By the combined action of the different features LIF can compensate the diurnal
and annual apparent movement of the sun (solar elevation and azimuth) without
any moving parts and provide the workplace with glare-free natural light.
The spectral composition of daylight within a room and therefore the
colour reproduction is not influenced.
